A large sign with the letters LAGUN on the road from Willemstad to Westpunt points you to a small fishing bay. Fishermen launch their boats from the beach here. The water is clear and there are no barriers in the water, so you can swim and snorkel freely.

What to expect at Playa Lagun

There is a dive school. You can rent loungers with parasols; you pay for those. Looking for something to eat with a stunning view? You can do that at Bahia.

Want to see turtles? Head to Playa Piskado

Playa Piskado is known for its turtles. You can buy food there, especially freshly caught fish. We find it too busy. If you want more peace, Lagun is the better choice.

Practical tips

  • Ask on site for the rates for loungers and parasols.
  • Do not shelter under manchineel trees, because they are poisonous.
  • Check before you leave that the beach is accessible.

Combine with other west-coast beaches

Combine Lagun with Playa Kalki or Grote Knip on the same day.
